Biography

Alicia Kayley is a remarkable Pop R&B singer-songwriter whose powerful and warm vocals touch the hearts of her listeners. Her electrifying performances inspire audiences to rise to their feet, shed tears, or experience both emotions simultaneously. 

Alicia is a contemporary Indigenous artist from the Algonquin and Tahltan Nations, proudly residing in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She graduated from a prestigious high school vocal program in Ottawa Ontario and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree from Carleton University, specializing in Classical voice and popular style songwriting. 

Her most notable performances include singing the National Anthem at Parliament Hill during Canada Day’s 150th main stage celebration, participating in the Site Selection Ceremony for the Residential School’s National Monument on Parliament Hill in 2023, and opening for the Indigenous Day Festival in Whitehorse, Yukon, in 2024.

Alicia is advancing her music career by creating her debut album with Crystal Shawanda’s label, New Sun Music, located in Nashville. As a young Indigenous musician, Alicia is committed to empowering Anishinabe women and youth and bringing her voice to mainstream music. As of February 17th, her Debut Single, New Beginnings, is streaming on all platforms, symbolizing the start of a New Beginning!
